[KBS News] Parliamentarians from 113 Nations Adopt the ‘Seoul Declaration’
The “International Association of Parliamentarians for Peace International Leadership Conference” was held today at the Korean National Assembly Hall with 450 parliamentarians from 113 nations in attendance.
Today’s events included congratulatory remarks from Sye-Kyun Chung, Speaker of the National Assembly of South Korea, and presentations from parliamentarians from various continents on the theme of “Overcoming the Northeast Asian Crisis and Unification of the Korean Peninsula,” as well as the adoption of the “Seoul Declaration,” in an effort to combat the North Korean Nuclear Arms Crisis...... The International Association of Parliamentarians for Peace, which was founded to resolve global disputes and conflicts, will host its “2017 World Assembly” in Seoul until February 4. As a special session, the IAPP hosted the International Leadership Conference at the Korean National Assembly Hall, where the “Seoul Declaration” was adopted, as a means to combat the North Korean Nuclear Arms Crisis.
The International Association of Parliamentarians for Peace was inaugurated at the Korean National Assembly Hall on February 15, 2016, with 150 parliamentarians from 41 nations in attendance.
