[Sisa Journal] President of Senegal, Macky Sall: “Peace is not only a wish, but a
life choice”
2015 Macky Sall visiting Korea, asks to be taught about the New Village
Movement, stronger bonds were created Senegal was the first country in Africa, with which president Moon Jae-In,
who was inaugurated in May of last year, held a summit together. In September
of last year, president Moon Jae-In left for America in order attend the UN
General Assembly, along with Senegalese president Macky Sall. President Macky
Sall said: “Regarding the situation of the Korean Peninsula, I will consistently
offer my support to Korea. As a non-permanent member of the UN, Senegal will
loyally fulfill the UN mandate and cooperate in taking actions regarding the
North Korean nuclear weapon issue.
Now, President Macky Sall showed that his intentions didn’t change, by
hosting the “2018 Africa Summit” in cooperation with the Senegalese government
and the UPF (Universal Peace Federation), in the Dakar International Congress
center, on January 18-19. The Africa Summit was held featuring the “mutual
prosperity and universal value of a New Heavenly Africa.” Along with President
Macky Sall, the former and incumbent Senegalese presidents, tribal leaders and
the founder of UPF, totaling 1,200 people, attended.
There, President Macky Sall emphasized: “Peace has to become a life choice,
rather than only a wish.” He said, ”The history of war was a tragedy of the
entire world, which was handed down from generation to generation. No matter
where war breaks out, it causes only destruction and bloodshed, purity being
trampled upon, the grief of orphans and widows and the pain of bereaved
families. The thing that makes all people become one is humanity. Regardless of
which religion you believe in, whether it is Judaism, Christianity, Islam or
other, humanity should always be the highest priority. I will put my effort
into restoring this humanity and for the mutual prosperity of Africa.
