[What's a ballscrew?]

A ballscrew is a part that takes the rotating movement of a device and changes it into a straight-line movement.

The flagship product of TIC Co., Ltd. is a part called a ballscrew. This product is mainly being delivered to the Korean machine tool maker, "Hyundai Wia," and is also supplying to "Doosan Infracore," and "Hwacheon Machine Tool Co., Ltd."  Further, it is also sometimes used for defense and commercial uses, with the sphere of usage gradually expanding all the time.

The global ballscrew market is worth about 1 trillion won, and with the Korean market maintaining a market scale of about 100 billion won we can look forward to TIC Co., Ltd. enjoying further development in the future.

[What, if any, difficulties are you currently facing?..]

Also, with the Taiwanese companies, "HIWIN", and "PMI" targeting the Korean market with low prices, it is a great obstacle to our price competitiveness.

[What is it about TIC that you are most proud about..]

Starting from 2003 with the introduction of developed technology has resulting in TIC Co., Ltd. focusing on improving the technology business and the production of high quality products of a precision caliber. Also, the company currently possesses a "parts materials reliability certificate" recognized by the "Korean Agency for Technology and a Standards and "Single PPM," a quality certifying system, and is recognized by its biggest clients in Korea, "Hyundai Wia," "Doosan Infracore," and  "Hwacheon Machine Tool Co., Ltd" for its quality.  But, we still need more public relations to be recognized for our reliability.

At present the company is working hard to develop a high-speed low-noise ballscrew, and has started development in high load bearing and other specialty product fields.

[What are your plans for the future?]

TIC Co., Ltd. has plans in the future to boost competitiveness in the market with the goal of developing different dimensions of dimensional technology that can meet the demands of the market, and have plans to increase market share through focusing on research and development in specialized fields.
