[Newsis] ‘2018 Rally for the Liberation of Patriotic Martyrs and Determination for North-South Unification’ held by FFWPU - Representatives of the eight major religions, Prayer ceremony for the liberation of national patriots and the unification of North and South Korea - 20,000 patriotic citizens, who long for the peaceful reunification between North and South Korea, participated in the event.
As we enter the month of Memorial Day, the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (also known as the Family Federation) opened the “2018 Rally for the Liberation of Patriotic Martyrs and Determination for North-South Unification" to liberate all the national patriots who were sacrificed for the Korean peninsula we have today.
It has been disclosed that the Family Federation, centering on Dr. Hak Ja Han and Governor Sung-gi Kim of the City of Gapyeong, as well as 20,000 patriotic citizens, gathered on the 24th (Sunday) at 10 o’clock in at the Cheongshim World Peace Center in Gapyeong in Gyeonggi province to commemorate the 68th anniversary of the Korean War.
Dr. Hak Ja Han said, “Through the Korean War, 16 nations took part in saving Korea from it’s crisis. However, I ask for Korea to become a lantern and stand proudly together with God in front of the world.” Dr. Han continued by saying, “As a lantern for the world, all of Asia will become one centering on Korea, and have a revolution of the culture of heart as they hold the banner of true love and realize the dream of ‘One Family Under God.’”
The event was held in the order of an opening musical performance and the Hyojeong Heaven and Earth Blessing Ceremony. Then the liberation ceremony for the national patriots and a prayer for the unification of North and South Korea was given by the representatives of the eight major religions. Then a Hyojeong Speech was delivered by a 3rd generation child of Yeong-eun Choi and Bok-hyung Jung, followed by an opening speech from Chairman Jin-tae Joo, the congratulatory speech, the words of the founder Dr. Hak Ja Han and then lastly, the grand finale demonstrating their hopes for peace.
For the liberation of the patriots and prayer ceremony for the unification of North and South Korea, we have Monk Jin Won from the Taego Order, Chairman Dae-Bong Kang from the Sungkyunkwan Confucian Scholars Association, Co-chairman In-Guk Choi from the Cheondogyo Donghak Unification Ethnic Group, the previous member of the Supreme Council Young-Gil Choi of the World Islam Union, Young Jin-Won who is the head of the Dae jong gyo, Chairman Jung-Su An of the International Christian Missionary Association, Vice Chairman Hye-Won Shin from the Korean Women Religion Council and lastly, Chairman Ki-Seong Lee from the Family Federation attending in hopes of a unified Korea
Ever since Rev. Sun Myung Moon’s Seonghwa ceremony in 2012, movements for world peace have continued to grow, including the “2017 Global Rally for the Peaceful Reunification of the Korean Peninsula,” where 80,000 people attended at the Seoul World Cup Stadium, a summit meeting this January in Africa and a peace rally in Europe in April with 10,000 participants, as well as a peace rally in BEXCO Busan, also with 10,000 participants.....
