[Good Morning Chung-cheong] FFWPU-Japan President Eiji Tokuno stated, “Global peace is realized through family peace,” and placed special emphasis on solving Japan’s family problems, at a recent gathering.
FFWPU-Japan President Eiji Tokuno emphasized that his native Japan must continue to solve its family-related problems.
President Tokuno recently held a gathering at a hotel in Tokyo, and acknowledged that family breakdown and population dearth are major social issues facing Japan.
According to him, in 2016, 55% of murder cases in Japan happened between family members. Also, in 2015, 225,000 couples, which comprises 35% of 635,000 couples married that year had divorced within the first year of marriage.
There are also frequent cases in which people turn their backs to the world.
In Japan, 24,000 people make extreme choices every year. While the number is said to be declining, these extreme choices are still cited as major social issues in Japan.
President Tokuno predicts that by 2050, the population of Japan, which currently has a population of 127.18 million, will drop to less than 100 million, due to avoidance of marriage.
He stated that “World peace is realized through family peace,” and also pointed out that “’Even if you believe in another God, you will not be able to go to heaven if you cannot love your wife and children’ is Reverend Sun Myung Moon’s core idea,” and that “our ultimate goal is to build a peaceful family.”....
