Universal Ballet was founded with the company’s vision of ‘Heavenly Art creating a World of beauty’ in 1984. Universal Ballet is the first professional and private Ballet Company in Korea. Under leadership of the world-renowned ballerina, general director Julia H. Moon, the 70 best dancers and 40 professional staffs of Korea work together and make an effort to become the top ballet company. Throughout its history, Universal Ballet performed 1,500 times with 100 titles at the 21 nations in the world. Starting with the founding performance ‘Cinderella,’ Universal Ballet succeeded to Russia Classical Ballet until the early of 2000s. After that, working with masters of European ballet, its territories was extended to the contemporary ballet and dramatic ballet. From 2011, in order to realize the founding vision of ‘Heavenly Art creating a World of beauty,’ we have embarked on ‘Universal Ballet World Tour.’ Universal Ballet performed Japan, Singapore, USA, Canada, Oman, the Republic of South Africa including Moscow of Russia and Paris of France where could not be missing in the history of ballet and is rewriting the history of ballet with the cheering audience. |
